Richard

My little furry friend, You were by my side for almost sixteen years. At first, you helped my mother forget her pain and the loneliness of being unable to connect with the world around her. Later, you helped me through some of the hardest times in my own life. You always seemed to know how I was feeling. You brought me comfort, made me smile, and until your very last moment, you never stopped trusting me. I will always remember you—from the tiny three-month-old kitten who believed his little mat was the safest hiding place in the world, to the brave old cat who endured his illness with quiet dignity. You will always have a place in my heart.
